EVALUATING COVID-19 KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE AND PRACTICES AMONG PEOPLE WITH NON-COMMUNICABLE DISEASES IN NIGERIA: A MULTICENTER CROSS-SECTIONAL STUDY
A cross-sectional study was conducted by collecting data through consecutive sampling techniques using a self-reported questionnaire, from 560 enrolled patients across three selected hospitals in Niger State, Nigeria, between 1st September 2020 and 30th October 2020, to evaluate their knowledge, attitude, and practices towards COVID-19. The finding suggest that patients have high level of knowledge about COVID-19, but attitude and practices towards the pandemic was poor. Thus, targeted health literacy interventions should be directed at patients with NCDs, to positively change their attitudes and practices towards COVID-19.
